Hello I'm Loretta Durst.
I am running to be re-elected as a Trustee with the Separate School Board for the City of Peterborough. I currently serve as a Trustee for the Separate School Board representing the City of Peterborough. I hope to continue on as a Trustee to serve our community and represent students and families.
I have 27 years experience working in the education sector at Trent University as an administrator. Our 4 children all went to Catholic schools in the City of Peterborough.
Being a Trustee has allowed me to be an advocate for students and families, continue my connections with the Catholic school community,and to stay abreast of current education initiatives. I would like to continue to promote student achievement, advocate for students and be a voice of support for Catholic education. Thank you for your support!

I will continue to be a liaison for families with the school board when parents have questions or concerns about their children's education or transportation. I am responsive and can help families get in touch with the right people to help.
I will help promote student learning, and will review decisions so they are equitable for all students. There are many issues facing our students today requiring additional supports for students. All students and families should feel at home in our schools, and I support diversity and inclusion in our Catholic schools.
We are privileged to have a wonderful, caring community of Catholic Schools that are funded by our province. Let's work together to ensure this continues and to ensure an education that supports students intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
